Welcome to the wonderful world of outdoor camping! Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains (GSGWM) operates six unique camping facilities. Living spaces range from primitive sites to Adirondack shelters to winterized lodges. For information about a specific property, including property descriptions, facilities, and rental fees, select the property from the navigation menu.
In September 2010, as part of the ongoing Strategic Learning process, we began a long-range property planning study to ensure that we develop and operate sites and facilities that best support the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. We also took into account girl feedback, which is sampled in the video below. To find out more, click here.
NOTE: As of September 1, 2015, we are officially switching to an online Application for Site Use, which is available at the base of this page. In order to confirm your reservation, we will require a deposit of 50% of the total fee, which we'll collect on receipt of your application.
- No reservations will be made over the phone and spaces will not be held.
- Applicants will be notified by email unless otherwise instructed.
- The balance of the camping fee is due four weeks before scheduled trip.
- Advance planning and flexibility in dates are recommended, as many sites fill quickly.
- All sites are available for day use. To apply, complete an application.
- Questions? Contact Karen!
All groups other than Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains pay a cleaning deposit ($100/site). This is due four weeks before scheduled trip. Cleaning deposits will be refunded if site is left clean. Please note: All groups will be billed for any damages at a rate of $55 per hour.
For cancellations up to four weeks before camp date, the deposit will be refunded. For camp cancellations within four weeks of camp date, fee will be refunded except for one night's lodging. No refund will be given for any cancellation within 2 weeks of reservation date.
What: Did you know that we now have snowshoes available for troops/groups to rent? Each site has at least 25 pairs in various sizes.
Where: Sunset Valley, Camp Farnsworth, Bedford Service Center, Camp Seawood
Cost: $25 per group, if you are renting the camp for Troop Camping; this cost is NOT included in your rental fee.
How: To request use of snowshoes, fill out a Camp Equipment Application. Please note the date and location you are looking to rent from and write Snowshoe Rental. Send the application with the $25 rental fee. You will be contacted once your application is processed to find out if you were approved for rental and the exact location of the snowshoes.
All rentals are to be returned back to the original location they were rented from. All snowshoes are to be returned in the same way they were taken and cleaned, or an additional $25 fee will be charged for cleaning. All rentals are to be returned the Monday following the rental date.
