Breakfast with Champions

At Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains Breakfast with Champions events six women who have made significant contributions to NH and VT girls through their work, philanthropy and/or community service received the Breakfast with Champions Award. Photos and more from the events.

The keynote speaker on May 4th in Montpelier, VT was Beth Robinson. Named 2009 Vermonter of the Year by the Burlington Free Press, Robinson is an attorney who represents injured workers in workers' compensation and workplace discrimination claims, and was co-counsel in Vermont's landmark case which led to the civil union law.

The keynote speaker on May 12th in Concord, NH was Virginia Barry, PhD, New Hampshire Commissioner of Education. Dr. Barry's career as an educator spans kindergarten through college in teaching and administration, and she has been recognized with numerous awards. Barry advocated for early intervention for children with autism and has done postdoctoral studies in leadership.
