You can be a Leader in Action by assisting a Brownie troop along their Journey! Use your organization skills or your special talents to teach Brownies something important about their Journey!

The Program Aide Core Training teaches the basics in leadership skills for working with a group of younger girls. Course covers teaching skills in games, crafts, songs and more! Register online in the fall and bring the PA application to the training! Apply now!

Volunteer in Training (VIT) (Grades 10-12) volunteer in training pin
Program is designed for girls who want to work with younger Girl Scout troops outside of the camp experience. Girls will complete a 6-hour training course then a 3-6 month VIT project with a troop of their choice.

Choose an organization you’d like to volunteer with and provide at least 20 hours of service to the organization. Service needs to be approved in advance! Get approved here!

Service to Girl Scouting Bar (1 per level - Cadette, Senior, Ambassador) community service bar
To earn your Service to Girl Scouting Bar you will need to provide at least 20 hours of service in a Girl Scout capacity. Volunteer at an event for younger girls, be an office assistant for the Council or community team or help with special projects and younger girl troop meetings to earn your hours. Get approved here!

Mentor younger girls in a camp setting as you build skills toward becoming a camp counselor. Opportunities are now available for 2013.

Counselor in Training 2 (Grades 11-12) counselor in training
If you have earned your CIT1 you can work with younger girls over the course of at least one camp session while focused on increasing your skills in one specific area – such as riding instruction, lifeguarding or the arts. Opportunities are now available for 2013.

Join us and learn seven different jumping techniques; the power of mentoring, conflict resolution strategies, anti-bullying techniques, plus how to engage younger girls.
