Join us for an Open House:
Sunday, June 6 from 2:00 - 4:00pm!

Come explore our 75 acres of wilderness, ponds and paths with our experienced friendly counselors. Our camp consists of eight Adirondack shelters, a lodge, a large pavilion with a built-in fireplace and large open fields. At our pond, you can experience paddling a canoe or try a funyak. Catch turtles or frogs, or just play in the sand. Make new friends, create arts and crafts and spend a night in a tent. Gaze at the stars or try archery for the first time. Come experience the outdoors and try something new. Come be yourself and have fun. What are you waiting for? Anne Jackson's the place for you!

Meet the Director

Ann Bird, Camp Anne Jackson Director, returns to camp for her 9th year (7th as Director). Ann brings tremendous knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm to her position. Learn more about Ann from our interview below.

What is your best memory from camp as a camper?
I loved sleeping out in a tree house overnight.  The roof had a open screen to see the stars.  It was my first experience and have loved it ever since.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Why?
Blue, because it reminds me of the open sky.  It goes on forever.

Tell us about your favorite thing to do on a rainy day at camp.
I love singing outside and jumping in puddles

What is an outdoor activity that you enjoy doing?
   Hiking and boating

What is your favorite camp song?
   Banana Boats

What is the reason you come to camp every summer?

I love the outdoors.  I enjoy teaching children the joy of the outdoors while having lots of fun.  There are many life skills to teach.

What are some of these cool activities that a unit can do?
Popular activities might include swimming, going to the program center for crafts, or participating in an All Camp activity. As a unit, your camper will work with her counselors and fellow campers to plan out their week around the theme of their program. They might put on a play, cook over a fire, or go on a hike. There are lots of ways to have fun at Camp Anne Jackson including our themed days. Every day has a different theme!
